MSU has a very east early schedule and then play LSU, A&M and AU on consecutive weeks. They will be 4-3 by the middle of Oct and all the Heisman talk will be gone.

This. Good list. History dictates it's usually a quarterback. The BC running back rushed for over 2K yards this year and really wasn't talked about seriously. Only 14 other backs had ever done that. Granted he was on a bad team, but still impressive. A list of 2K backs:

Barry Sanders Oklahoma State (1988): 2,628 (7.64 yards per carry)
Kevin Smith UCF (2007): 2,567 (5.70)
Marcus Allen USC (1981): 2,342 (5.81)
Troy Davis Iowa State (1996): 2,185 (5.44)
Ladainian Tomlinson TCU (2000): 2,158 (5.85)
Mike Rozier Nebraska (1983): 2,148 (7.81)
Matt Forte Tulane (2007): 2,127 (5.89)
Ricky Williams Texas (1998): 2,124 (5.88)
Larry Johnson Penn State (2002): 2,087 (7.70)
Byron Hanspard Texas Tech (1996): 2,084 (6.15)
Rashaan Salaam Colorado (1994): 2,055 (6.90)
J.J. Arrington California (2004): 289 2,018 (6.98)
Ray Rice Rutgers (2007): 2,012 (5.29)
Troy Davis Iowa State (1995): 2,010 (5.83)

Not to mention the fantastic year Mason had this year.

Hill may be in the running if he returns, but it'll probably be another OK QB with a weak schedule and a high powered offense.

Hill will get some mentions if he comes back. Already had the second biggest season in LSU history.
