Does Dyer have any yards after contact this year. Whatever the number it is minuscule

he seemed to break alot of tackles against LSU.

Thanks for bringing this up. Let's just see how Dyer stacks up with Knile Davis who is a full year younger than Dyer. It will be interesting to see just how much better Davis will be next year when he gets to be the same age as Dyer is now.

Avg. - 6.2 vs. 6.4 - push
Long - Advantage Davis and it's not even close (71 to 38)
TDs - Advantage Davis and again, it's not even close (9 vs. 5 or 80% more!)
REC - Advantage Davis and once again, it's not even close (13 to 1 or 1200% more).

Davis Rushing:
•ATT 107
•YDS 662
•AVG 6.2
•LNG 71
•TD 9
Davis Receiving:
•REC 13
•YDS 113
•AVG 8.7
•LNG 30
•TD 0

Dyer Rushing:
•ATT 124
•YDS 779
•AVG 6.4
•LNG 38
•TD 5
Dyer Receiving:
•REC 1
•YDS 9
•AVG 9
•LNG 9
•TD 0

In honesty, has davis gotten the ball in the redzone? I don't think that dyer has had a rushing touchdown under ten yards long this year, they have always whored it to cam or thrown it in. Dyer has had to strike from distance.

Davis does get his fair share of short TD run attempts but we also throw a lot in those situations. Look at Davis’ average and the long run of 71 yards.

The SEC running back will be crazy good next year.

All the starters on each team could return. Ingram is prob the only one leaving out of the starting backs in the SEC next year.

LSU: Ridley
Bama: Richardson
Auburn: Dyer
SC: Lattimore
Arky: Davis
Fla: Demps
UGA: Ealey
Miss: Bolden
Miss St.: Ballard
Tenn: Poole

Not a given that Davis will be the #1 guy for the hogs next year. Dennis Johnson may have a chip on his shoulder when he comes back next year. Also, we should consider the offensive lines for those respective teams returning for next year. Doesn't Auburn lose 4/5 linemen after this year or did I just imagine that i heard that stat?

Dennnis Johnson is great and I'm looking forward to having him back but Davis will be our 20 carries per running back with dj getting 8-10 and some catches outta the backfield I'd think.

we will have 3 guys with starting experience coming back next year in Brandon Mosley (current starter), AJ Greene (original starter) at tackle. Then there is John Sullen who started a game or 2 last year (his freshman year) due to injuries. he was supposed to replace Greene this year but got a little banged up that week and Mosley hasnt relinquished the job.
