The point was to potentially catch GT at 24 in 3 possessions instead of 4

It’s what the analytics show based on how many possessions they have left. Would get you within a FG/TD with another 2 pt conversion.

Would have given UGA a two possession game in multiple scenarios.
Even if GT had scored a TD on their last possession, it’s still a 2 score game if UGA got that 2 pt conversion.
