The last time Auburn won in Athens I was there and i was 18. Now I’m 39.

I remember the 2009 Auburn game when Rambo was knocked out and the medics were seeing about Rambo, and the whole stadium was completely quiet. Some co-eds in the end zone counted to 3 and yelled frick AUBURN at the same time, and the whole stadium could hear it and people started laughing, even though they knew they shouldn't be lol. Now all of those co-eds are pushing 40 and respectable moms, I'm assuming.

Atkins is by far their most experienced inside linebacker. Their experience and depth at that position is weak after Atkins and Melendez, and even Melendez only had about 200 snaps before this season. Deas is a sophomore, looks like the 1st backup. Demarcus Riddick is still on their roster in his 3rd season, but apparently hasn't done much since his freshman year and has minimal playing time in 2026 from what I can tell.
So basically with Atkins out it's Melendez and Deas, with Riddick and a transfer from Hampton who's played 12 snaps. Unless they've added somebody late, that's pretty much the list of the ones who have played a down.

To make it worse on our older members… My wife’s uncle was one of the UGA students who stormed the field at JHS in 86 at the “between the hoses” game. He’s gotta be 59 or 60 now. My nearly 40 year old arse was in the fetal stage when it happened.
