This would have been funny, if the OP picked the right day.

Not a flame man. I truly believe the Bama fans that partake in these actions are pitiful. Sorry, but that's JMO.

Don't even. Should I post all the pictures of AU fans literally stroking Cam like he is some Greek God?

I know it is the wrong day, but WGAF. It is funny.

If you'd like. But do you honestly think AU fans are anywhere near obsessed as UA fans are about Bear and Saban? For fricks sake, you've got people naming their kids after them.

So all the UF fans/adults that stand in lines are pitiful as well?
I could care less about some adults standing in line for an autograph, point was the OP was "trying to be cool" and failed in a big way.

The old man/woman gets me everytime. Bet he/she would whoop some arse.

At least or moreso. Hell.. you've still got some Auburn fans singing the laurels of Pat Dye after what he did and named a field after him, after he was caught cheating and lying about it. Don't pretend Auburn doesn't have theirs too.

I don't see you can get any more obsessed with a person than AU fans did with Cam last year.

When that picture came out, I suggested we recruit her to play linebacker....she's undersized, but I bet she could lay a lick. On the downside, we would probably need to keep an oxygen tank and a carton of Pall Malls on the bench for her.

I think adults standing in any line for an autograph is a bit immature. That's something for the kids IMO.

Yeah you're right. It's not like there is a fan base that still makes t-shirts, magnets, bumper stickers, ect for a coach that passed away almost 30 years ago.
My point being, we all have obssesed wacky fans...admit it, that picture of the people with the baby waiting to go see Saban is funny.

Exactly, maybe we should name our field after Mike Dubose...

I can't even get mad. This picture is classic. Granny looks like she would kill Saban if she leaves without an autograph.

Sure you can. People bought into the Cam story while he was here, and it will probably last a couple years and slowly die out. Keep in mind that Cadillac was the best thing since sliced bread just a few years ago. As I said, you've got kids named after them, a bank named after one, half of a stadium wearing houndstooth 30 years after the guy died, etc. I didn't say it was bad, just "unique".

So we honor one of the best coaches off all time. I don't see what's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with honoring someone. Idolatry is a different animal altogether though.

C'mon, I know that you are smarter than that. I'm not talking about a statue of Bryant here. It's not honoring, it's an obsession for some fans.
