Too bad he couldn't score against UGA or OSU.

You can ride the coattails of UGA and OSU but draggies had no answer in their double digit beatdown at the hands of Ewers and Manning.

Oh you mean Sark the Bama OC that won a natty.

The Sark that took Texas to two consecutive Semifinals.

Texas fans are just fine.

You don't understand it? It's not hard to understand it. I think what you're trying to say is you don't agree with it.

I'm not saying he won't become a great QB in time, but let's see him prove it on the field before we start throwing all these accolades his way.

so basically like every 5 star QB in the history of ever who hasn't started games in college yet. How is Arch Manning any different in that regard other than having a famous grandfather and uncles?
quote:

Manning has had two full seasons, and Ewers has also missed several games in those two years, and he still finds himself riding the bench. I

Ewers was also the top QB in his class and #1 overall prospect and is older. It's not weird Arch would ride the bench behind Ewers. Peyton wasn't starting as a freshman either and didn't until people got hurt. Like Arch, Eli Manning redshirted and then didn't start until his third year in the program. He was behind....Romero Miller.

If Manning was as great as some are saying, how is he still riding the bench two years into his UT career?

You posit that Sark knows what he's doing?

Could have fooled me. Manning wasn’t even the best QB coming out of Louisiana in his class but i’m glad Texas fans love Sark and Manning. Once they actually start playing the top half of the SEC, Texas will remain in the bottom half just like brother Aggies

even if you think Arch is overrated, this is ignorant. The other QBs in his class out of LA were:
Eli Holstein (transferred to Pitt after not playing at Alabama, has been ok at Pitt)
Rickie Collins (transferred to Syracuse after never playing at LSU)
Reese Mooney (never took a snap at Liberty, transferred to ULM)

Saban relied on Sark to evaluate the players for scholarship offers.

The toss play wasn't a bad call, it was just poorly executed.

Manning wasn't the #1 QB in that class Jackson Arnold was. JA was also the Elite 11 winner and look where he's at. Manning also played small 3A ball in HS. Lot's of unknowns.

ESPN was the only service that had Arnold ranked 1. The others had both Nico and Arch ranked over him.

Arnold had a month to prep for a bowl game and threw 4 ints and fumbled twice. Arch took over mid game for Quinn and accounted for 5 tds and continued to lead the team to 3 wins. They're not the same.

It was a horrible call when Caleb Downs is literally on the play side waiting for the snap because he's already diagnosed the play. The guy already knew what you were running. Even if he would have gotten by Downs there was containment behind him to keep him from scoring. The entire play was a cluster fruck.

Downs didn't diagnose the play before the ball was snapped

He did put himself in position to make a great play. 2 missed blocks and Downs making an amazing play were what blew it up. Sark tried to use speed to get to the edge while tOSU had their big guys in. It was poorly executed.

Will Howard was a better quarterback in high school than Manning

This is a weird point to make. So because Arnold may have been a bust, anyone rated lower than him in high school has to be worse than him now?

LaNorris Sellers was the #34 ranked QB in that same class. He must be worse than Arnold and everyone ranked above him too, right?

he played at the same high school as Eli and Peyton. Every good QB prospect doesn't come from a 6A high school.

Will Howard wasn't in the same class as Arch nor is he from Louisiana. If you're talking about Walker Howard, he wasn't in Arch's class either. Walker Howard was in the 2022 class and was, in fact, the top rated QB out Louisiana in his class. Arch was in the 2023 class. And even if they were in the same high school class, what exactly has Walker Howard done to make you think he was a better QB prospect? Sure hasn't done anything on the field in college to validate that opinion.

In the marketing word , it's all about brand recognition.
Arch Manning rode in with a name that preceded him ,
as well as expectations versus all the crying over his bench warming.
By the same token , he seems legit
