Don't laugh, but two names Ole Miss ought to look at

Jeff Tedford
Mike Riley
Both could probably use a change of scenery and both are decent coaches that might be able to utilize some SEC type talent.

Yah, they won't get it done..

It should be Leach or bust for Ole Miss.

Hope they keep their hands off of Mark Hudspeth at ULL.

I'm not gonna laugh, but neither of those guys are going to take that job. Neither will get a call and neither would make the move if the call did come. Neither make sense for Ole Miss, either.
Gus, Mark Hudspeth, Leach, maybe Smart. That's it.

I think bamasgot is pretty spot on.

I could really see them ending up with Gus. He probably feels like he could recruit some athletes in Miss. and run his system on offense.

I thank the football deities weekly that he didn't come to Bama

Tedford has richt disease at Cal and Riley actually i don't think is that bad a suggestion. that being said idk how well he'd do in the south but who knows

Both are too soft for the SEC

riley is kinda fiery IIRC but OSU has gone to hell in a hand basket this year so idk

I would love to witness the interaction between Leach and the OM blue hairs.

Really though, I don't see him fitting in well in Oxford.
They need to do whatever it takes to get Hudspeth or Gus.

todd grantham certainly could ignite some fire in the program

Mike Riley stiff-armed Alabama twice, supposedly because his wife wanted to live in more "refined" areas of the country. I'd be sure surprised if he went to Ole Miss.

What about Mike Stoops?

I can't see him leaving here unless it's for a head coaching position in the SEC imo.

Kirby Smart
Terry Bowden
Gus Malzahn
anyone else wanting to commit career suicide

I'm sure they do, but the better question would be does he give AU a look at OC. I think the answer to that is no. He's a rising commodity in coaching cirles. He'll be a head coach somewhere decent by 2013 if no sooner.
I think AU goes to ECU's OC to replace Gus.
