Exactly Big Lake...I look forward to playing LSU every year cause I know it's going to be a dogfight. I use to look forward to playing Tennessee just as much but now i get no thrill out of beating them. Man up and have the heart of a Champion. I was sick when LSU beat us last year because I was sure our NC hopes were gone. If we didn't get in, it was our own damn fault for missing the fieldgoals. Fate was on our side and we got lucky...it doesn't always work out that way.

That's bull - many teams have won the NC without playing the "best", whatever that means. Unless there is a true 16 team playoff system, we will rarely know for sure who the best team is.

In a nutshell, this is the reason for all of the LSU angst regarding Bama.
You guys wanted the easy road to the NC instead of what you got. A whole fanbase of Mack Browns.

Bama didn't deserve to be in the NC game. LSU should not have had to beat them twice in the same year. Simple as that.

Point taken...i just don't think I can bare the Big 10 and Big 12 pundits praising Michigan saying "We told you the SEC wasn't all that." I take some pride in saying we play in the strongest
conference and I plan on keeping it that way.

Yeah I would have liked to play okie state but thats not what happened. Even though I was incredibly pissed off and crushed when we lost, I didnt play the what if game we lost thats it.
LSU fans like myself cannot complain about how a team gets into the National Championship we have been more fortunate than anyone to get in

How is what LSU did last year the easy road? Had LSU played OSU in the title game and won, would they have ducked Bama? Or would LSU have still beat Bama in Tuscaloosa? Would they have still beaten 8 ranked teams at the time they played them. Would they still have beaten two other teams that were ranked #3 at the time of playing?

Agree. Which is the basis of my point. If Michigan beats Bama and then LSU beats them in November, we don't have to worrying about Bama coming back to whip our arse, lol.

Actually, it's not the way the system is currently set up. It's set up to reward the two most deserving teams based on their body of work, not necessarily the two best teams. Based on body of work, Bama did not deserve to be in the NC game.
