Bama doesn’t talk about LSU until game week. We’re obsessed with Bama year round tho. It’s more like Bama and Auburn are brothers if anything.

I have always liked LSU fans because they are without a doubt the funniest fan base in our conference and there isn’t really even a close second. That’s why I’ve lurked this website since 2007. I challenge anyone to name a funnier fan base than LSU?

One spectacular random ginger. Now post all the GingerbGumpGifs.

It’s basically because of the Sabin situation and the recruiting ties he made in LA

Alabama is 53-25-5 vs Loseranna state. Bama is 28-9-2 vs the Tigers in Baton Rougeeeee.
What is the argument? These are the facts and they are documented.

This is true. I think everyone in bama land is related to one another.

Did you deliberately describe WillyT with perfection, or was it an accident?

Yeah I had not factored in the HUGE Alabama 15 and under posting community. That accounts for a lot. Now I think I understand.
Today’s college seniors were in elementary school the last time LSU won a national championship. How many kids that age follow a sport religiously?

Alabama is 12-9 this century.
Since 1980 Alabama is 24-15-1 against LSU.
Were all the losses “ easy losses” too ?
8 of your 15 wins came over an 11 year period and was after Nick Saban came to LSU.
4 of the remaining 7 wins(and the tie) came between 1982, the end of Bear and 1988, the end Curry the start of Stallings.
For all the remaining years, LSU managed 3 total wins.
I lived and watched(mostly listened over the radio) the games though the entire time period you mention. Most of LSU wins are when Alabama is down. Yes, I know about 1993 and 1997, the other 2 wins not mentioned.
And of course, there is also the 11 game win streak Alabama had before 1982 while Alabama was doing what? Oh yeah, breaking off national championships. Doesn't that sound familiar?

Your post and the title of the thread made me think of a great movie quote that sums this up perfectly...
"Does an ant have a quarrel with a boot?"

That’s a ludicrous breakdown. From 1982 to 2000 LSU was 6-11. This coincides with the worst period in LSU football history. LSU then rolled off seven of the next eight and nine of the next twelve. That’s LSU 15 Alabama 14 and one tie. That’s essentially even OVER 3 decades.
And now Bama has rolled LSU for almost a decade and you have convinced yourself this will never change. You will return to the mean. Everything does. Saban’s clock is ticking and the normal rules of the Universe will apply.

So the 11 in a row you lost before 1982 wasn't worse?

Bear destroyed us. Then we murdered him in 1982. And 30 years of parity occurred. I’m not sure why you have such a hard time just admitting that.

Alabama won a national title in 1992

Alabama won a title ten years after you say this occurre.
Your statement is inaccurate.

From 1982-2000 you won 35% of the time. That was an increase over the 0% you won the 11 years prior to that.
That is what I grew up with. And again, most of those wins happened when were in the Ray Perkins era, clumped together.
Then Nick Saban came to LSU, Alabama had it's dark ages and you won for awhile mostly, and now Saban is at Alabama and you're working on another long streak.
There is really nothing you can say to change the fact that I spent the majority of my life thinking of LSU as an easy win. That's just the history of it and how it happened from my perspective.

Wow. You literally can’t keep up and can’t define parity. Jesus Chicken, time to start carding again.

From 1982- 2011 we won 51% of the time. The THIRTY YEAR PERIOD we are discussing.
Pre 1980- the Bear killed us.
Post 2010- Saban killed us
There was a roughly THREE DECADES in the middle there, Gump.
Why do you want to pretend that never happened?
