I understand where he's coming from since he graduated early and worked hard during the spring but he was at best 4th on the depth chart at his position. I think he's gonna be a really good player but IMO he's dumb if he wants to get 10-15 carries this year instead of redshirting.
I'm sure he's not happy about it and that's awesome to me. I don't want players that are happy about redshirting but he needs to look at the bigger picture. Take this year to learn, get bigger, stronger, and faster and come back next year and fight for a starting spot. He will be a good player..
As for Freeze lying to him, I'm sure Freeze told him he would compete for playing time. Surely he didn't say 'mark come right on in and we have a starting spot for you next year.' That would just be dumb to say to any player. I don't think he's stupid. He wouldn't do that.
It'll either blow over and be okay. Or he'll transfer. Either way, we'll be okay.. I hope he stays though.
