"Kinda thinking a little similarly, especially with Clemson. The media love for Clemson is strong, and if y'all wind up having "close" wins, a buzz could get going about y'alls (lack of) schedule."
THIS: It is my fondest hope that Gumps get left out because of their scedule.
Edited to Add: I would love to see the tears and meltdown if some of the coaches pulled an "Okie State" vote on the Gumps, vote them down to get Oregon against Ohio State/Clemson.

If I was Bama, I would just be worried about beating LSU. By that time, their defense might not even remember what an equally athletic opposing offense looks like.

Let me get this straight, what you are saying is, is that if the the number 1 team in the nation preseason, goes undefeated in the regular season and beats the SEC east champ, that they get into the national championship game? Is this what you are asking?

The burden falls on other teams to climb up somehow, not on Bama to rack up style points. They win all of their games by one, they get in, end of story.
