Interesting take and 100% correct. We played on Clemsons side of the field nearly the entire game (which is one reason the game was so frustrating). Seemed like our average starting field position was our 45.
To get where we want to go we've got to cash in on that field position 95% of the time and be better at 80 yard drives. Bama certainly has no intention of giving us the ball on the 50 all game.

Considering how well our defense pursues, this is also an absurdly difficult task.
The two best run plays that have come against us this season (from what I can recall) have both been options where the QB has fake pitched the ball and kept it for about 20 yards or so. Not sure if we’ll get that figured out but it’s the only remote place I’ve seen success.
Our defense pursues so well it’s hard to beat them on the outside as well as in the middle.

Georgia is so damn good. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a team as talented as them.

One way I could see our defense having trouble is if Nix is able to get it to a swing route to Bigsby or Shivers in the flat and get them 1-on-1 with our corners. There was one play in the Arkansas game where Brini got toasted by Rocket Sanders on that.
However, that would require a lot of time in the pocket that I don’t think will consistently be there.

Brini is generally a really good tackler. I think he thought he was just going to push Sanders OB and eased up on the play.
