Two wrongs don't make a right
I get that because it was LSU you are going ot defend this all day long, but if you were an outsider without bias, you would say the same thing.

I can't ever remember seeing that at the college level and I have seen a lot of college baseball games.
I guess we just have a higher class of citizen in BR. By all means you guys keep throwing at hitters.

ETA It figures that it is a couple of the little brothers of the SEC (AU and Moo U) on this crap.

I'll gladly take Auburn winning the series this weekend if it means us racking up another SEC crown later this year!!!

Your posts do not support this statement at all.

We did it the correct way for college baseball purposes. Continue on in the game taking the high road......and letting people know how bush league it was.

All this time I've been thinking winning was the point of sports.

It's too early for everybody to be fighting

Is it ever too early to carry on the one true tradition of the SECr?

this is a game with 20 yr old student athletes and the vast majority will never sniff a paycheck to play baseball.

unless you have class and decide not to throw a 90 mph baseball at a kids head after it's been done to one of your players, only because he's done nothing but be exceptional at what he does.

What's he supposed to say to the media? just act like it didnt happen?
Cohen is a fricking pussy and has been outclassed by PM in every way possible since PM got to LSU.

some coaches will but some have more class and aren't gonna throw at a kid just because another coaching staff is classless.
How many times has PM thrown at a kid since he's come to LSU? With pitchers like Ranuado, Coleman, Guasman, Eades, PM could easily send a message to the opposing teams dugout but he's not interested in trying to be a hardass at the expense of some college kid's safety to make up for his shitty teams like Cohen does.

He wasted a pitch behind the dude and the guy got rattled. Then LSU lost and he and the coach cried to the media about the pitch.
High road would have been to completely ignore it. Put one in the guys hip on next at bat would have been acceptable as well (though less of a high road). Whining about it and making snarky comments in the media about how much you beat them isn't the high road.

so a little banter via the media is worse than chucking a 90 mph fastball at a college kids head?
that PM is so trashy

quote:No, it is not worse. Never said it was. Quit with the fuax moral high ground bs and arguments about class. Quit crying to the media about one pitch. You are letting them win by showing how much it has rattled you.

No what actually happened was at the instruction of John Cohen Graveman intentionally threw a 90+ mph fastball at Katz's head.

It is a helluva lot better that what Cohen did. However, I'm guessing you didn't hear Rea and Graveman laughing about throwing at Katz on MSU radio after the game.
I'm sure you are for that too though so it's all good.

Was it really 90 mph or are you fluffing this a tad bit

Graveman sits in the 90-94 range I think....so 90+ is probably a good estimate with actually seeing a gun. Although 85-90 doesn't really mean much when that ball earholes you.
