Does anyone remember the last time Bama and LSU played when both were in the top 3?

Wasn’t that the first time in CFB history that a team that didn’t win its division or conference still got to play for a NC? Serious question.

I remember. We didn’t have a real QB who played in the game.

You mean that time bama got extra weeks off because you didn't even win your division and backed into the NC game?

The first time, yes. Not the last time.

This is why I think Bama fans are so insecure about their dynasty. Of the 20ish NCs they claim all of them are basically mythical. No other sport that I can think of has folks claiming and playing for a NC without winning their division/conference Or having to win multiple games against a slew of highly ranked teams( no road to the Final Four or College World Series). Just a lotta hot air and opinion. It’s sad.

You serious baw? This is one of, if not the greatest runs in CFB history given the parity and NCAA scholarship rules, etc.

How old are you? We claim 17 and of those 17 about 3-5 are questionable. Let's err on the high side and say it's 5. So let's say we just have 12 NCs then, deal?
Is that still more than your school? Unless your Army (which that doesn't count cause there were only 4 schools playing back then) or Notre Dame, kiss my dick.

Uhm, this happens all the time in sports. Wild Card teams win the World Series, Wild Card NFL teams win the Super Bowl. Non conference Champ teams win the NCAA tournament.

Then don't follow college football. It's the rules that are defined and yet when it benefits Bama, you don't want to play by the rules.
Know who else does that? My kids.

Go to bed, little one.

2001 Nebraska didn't play in the Big12 Championship game and still played for a national title against Miami. They lost 62-36 to Colorado the week before the title game. Texas and Colorado played for the conference championship.

Wild Card teams in the NFL and MLB don’t have to go on the road and play at least two highly ranked conference teams before they can play for the championship? Wow. Didn’t know that.

Had the teams ahead of Bama not lost, Bama wouldn't have made it in. We got lucky, no one is arguing against that.
Kinda like when LSU became the first 2 loss team to ever make it into the Championship game. If I recall correctly, you needed Missouri to lose late that year and they did so y'all squeeked in.

No one bitching about that, sometimes the cards fall your way and sometimes they don't but only 1 fanbase cries the frick over it ALL THE TIME damn near 8 years later.

I’m not crying or whining. That’s what you bitches say on the internet. At least the 2 loss 2007 team won the division and the best conference and earned it on the field. Wouldn’t feel right to me to sit at home on conference championship Saturday and go right into the NC game. What sport would let a wildcard team sit at home and let the division winners eliminate each other and then get a chance to play for a NC. That don’t make no sense. You know it.
