Yeah, if your team isn't top 25ish, college basketball is pretty lame.

The NBA has just snuffed it out - it's so much better and the quality of product gap is astounding.

I played a shite ton of basketball as well. HS, etc. I could hold my own, and 15-20 years ago it was all I cared about.

Now, I'd sacrifice our Bball team for football.

Seriously. Tear down the building and use it for football facilities, at the least a new tailgating spot.

There is no loyalty. If you have a good player - he's only there for one year and doesn't care about your team anyway. The same schools get the one and done's every year. Who likes a sport when Name a State Tech can beat you.

I love UA basketball more than football, but my interest is waning because of the refs.

They do exist.

I kind of like it, but only as a way to pass the time between more interesting sports. Don't usually care until the end of the season though.

Another issue is the NCAAT. The NCAAT has become the Holy Grail for a program, and anything less is epic failure (whether unfair or not).

As great as March Madness is, everyone who isn't involved is relegated to irrelevancy.

This is my fear with the new football "tourney"

It will start with 4 but you know it will go to 8 and so on and so forth.

Say what you want about the BCS, but if your team was in it, every game was an elimination game.

It was good, if not flawed, shite.

I've said it before - I'll take 0-30 in basketball every year for the next decade if it means a Natty in football. I doubt Auburn fans give a shite that they knob in basketball, and I'd feel the same way in their shoes.

I say that as an alum, too.

The one-and-done killed it, and a 68 team tournament pretty much renders the regular season meaningless (yeah yeah, insert obligatory reference to 2011 Alabama).

Same, basketball just sucks to be honest.

NBA is the worst sport in the country, and college is getting pretty terrible too.

College basketball in the 80's and early to mid 90's was awesome.

There were awesome programs with players that played multipled years, you could build a team and a program.

Once the NBA began taking the young talent NCAA basketball has really gone majorly downhill.

I want to care, but Stallings is too big of an idiot to expect anything out of. I can't even go to a good game down here either...although, I did miss out on the Mizzou game which was pretty exciting.

People love the tournament, but it's a really shitty way to pick a champion.

It renders almost every game in the regular season mostly meaningless.

It only exists because people like to play office pools on it, it's fun, it's like a carnival event.

I mean heck it's called Mach Madness for a reason. I enjoy it myself.

But from a competitive sports viewpoint its horrible.
