I have repeatedly seen Aub on the verge of victory, only to lose it due to poor coaching decisions. It appears Gus can coach, and he can recruit. He just can't seem to stop himself from screwing up a good thing, as when Aub's able to run the ball well, Gus decides he wants to pass or if Aub piles up yards and points, Gus then decides he wants to ease the throttle back on the offense.

Gus will make wise coaching decisions, then question the decision, and change it. Do Aub fans have any answers as to why he is like this?

They stopped cheating.

They'll rectify that soon.

Look to the thread above called The Gus Bus to find your answer.

He’s just simply in over his head. He has about 4 plays he runs, which is easy to disguise when you have star players and quarterbacks like Nick Marshall and Cam Newton that can audible and change the play at the line of scrimmage. When you’re without a dual threat quarterback or a consistent running back, you get exposed badly. That’s what happened in 2009, that’s what happened in 2011, that’s what’s happened most of his coaching career here. Good coaches adapt to the players they have. Gus has not only been unable to do that, but he’s pretty much flatly refused to. Coaches can read this offense like a Dr. Seuss book. And lack of development at quarterback and offensive line the last several years has been awful. His stubbornness is what will cost him his job.

Easy answer, when you believe so strongly in a system, you are reluctant to admit it is not working.

His offense is the spread version of the Les Miles offense.

Yeah, we are going down the tubes, but we took Auburn with us.

He's bipolar and 2nd half fail Gus. Most of his losses he has led at half.
