Ive got no excuses for LSU losing to Penn State. Same should go for you with Ohio State.

Saban did it at LSU in year 2 and he actually won his BCS game
Incorrect my friend, in 2000 LSU had the number 9 class according to Rivals. The following year Saban won his BCS Bowl.
I have that information somewhere but can't find it at the moment. I will though.

I don't remember making excuses.
It is not like LSU has never lost to OSU either, however...

FWIW I've already seen plenty on here about the suspended players being allowed to play.
And it was about OSU being 0-9 in BCS bowl games against the SEC. I never said LSU or any other SEC team is undefeated against them.

I found the information somewhere on the net, once long ago, but don't remember where. I'll find it though.
And even if we want to say Saban also did it, that is not bad company.

or it means petrino isn't a good recruiter. seeing as he finished barely in the top 25 again this year, doesn't look like that's changed

It's probably a combination of that and the fact that Arkansas itself has certain disadvantages compared to some of the other SEC schools when it comes to recruiting.
We'll never be a consistent top10 destination for recruits, but we don't have to be. Nutt got us to three SECCG in a decade, I have every confidence that Petrino will match that and actually win at least one meaning an SEC title and national title game appearance.

Ok, but did I personally make these excuses?

OK, but we'll just ignore the other equally or more so embarrassing bowl losses and LSU's "great accomplishment" of beating a Texas A&M team in the same stadium we beat the same team in during the season...

The only excuse is that we played a VERY damned good team that deserved to be there, and we lost. This wasn't the 2007 Cotton Bowl where we got embarrassed .

shite he improved if you ask me he finished way back there a year or so ago. oh well, if we need that to finish toward the top of the SEC then all we need is one crazy good class to win it all.

We may as well just give Wilson the damned Heisman now

LSU has done just fine in bowl games (including 4-0 in BCS bowls). Nobody wins them all (Bama vs. Utah), but arky does deserve some grief for their bowl record in the past 30 years.

no one is saying it's a great accomplishment, but LSU takes care of business in bowl games. As a matter of fact, LSU has won 12 of their last 14 bowl games, and the two losses are by a combined 7 points and both lost in the last minute of regulation

to be fair he won't win the heisman, he'll be second to knile davis, and the third place token defensive player will be bequette.

Arky fans expecting no drop off after losing Mallett are delusional.

We finished with a better record and ranked ahead of you
