If Bama D can get to Mett and make him very uncomfortable in the pocket, then not much concern but if Mett has time in the pocket very concern.

Does any Bama fan have strong concerns about beating LSU? Any fan who doesn't take every conference game seriously is silly. There's no talent gap that turnovers, injuries, and fluke plays can't overcome. And when the gap is pretty small, 1 big play could make the difference.

Agreed

yes, my concern with beating LSU is I'm trying to holler at a corndog, and I fear the beat down saturday will prevent me from beating it up later that night...

I enjoy this matchup more than any in college football because it will be two teams who play real SEC football without that spread BS. I-formations, fullbacks, and hard-nosed intensity.

I am. Les always has LSU ready to play us, and I expect nothing less this weekend. You still have a good QB and 2 fantastic WR's, while our secondary is a bit vulnerable at the CB spot. Not to mention, a big, bruising, rapist at RB.

Ultimately I think our offense will prove too much for the LSU D, and our defense will get just enough stops.

Looking forward to a great game (that I will have to watch the tape of since I will be on a plane traveling for work while it is on )

My biggest concerns are Mett having another game of his life and ripping our CBs. Not so worried about Belue as much as whoever plays opposite him having a LONG day. Collins is looking good in Vinnie's place but I worry that he gets a little too agressive and loses his head and discipline a couple times trying to jump routes or run support on play action and could get burned (slants and crossing routes worry me). My other BIG concern is ball security in the run game. Yeldon and Drake have both been putting the ball on the ground a lot more this year than Bama is used to seeing. This could be a huge factor in this game and could be the difference maker especially sine LSU is going to be hitting hard. If I'm LSU's DC I'm running strip drills like a mad man this week.

LSU is no joke. Both fans bash each other, but its a hard, tough game. It's a war every year.

No question. I remember after the 9-6 game, Trent Richardson said in a post game interview that it was like The Matrix out in the field. Elite talent vs elite talent. Thought it was a great quote.

I get he had a pretty good game against Bama last year, but why does everyone act like he put up JFF numbers in that game? He threw for about 250 yards, and LSU put up 17 points. If he matches that output this year, Bama wins again.

Hey man! Where have you been? I'm still in tower #3 on the beach. Are you watching your football at Captain Fun's on the boardwalk?

More like significant concern. I considered LSU almost on bama's level for a while.

I'd still give LSU a puncher's chance. Bama really hasn't played anybody of note since Ole Miss, and hasn't played anybody really good except aTm. I chalk LSU's loss to Ole Miss up to LSU being worn out, that being their 8th consecutive game. [I have no idea why LSU didn't take one of their bye's earlier instead of sandwiching them around the bama game. This is still a huge mystery to me]

I wouldn't be shocked if LSU won, but I'd be surprised.

Nope...got season tix this year and been going to every home game with GF and going to see her for the away games. I'm actually buying a house and will be off the beach this Dec. Where have you been watching the games?

I agree, but I'm looking at what Mett has shown that he is capable of this year. Could result in a lot better than last year. Just a concern is all.

I've been splitting time between my house (on the mainland) and the condo because I've got a daughter at Gulf Breeze H.S. this year. Where are you buying a house?

I mean I am not "take it easy Saturday morning we are playing Arkansas tonight so we should be up by 30 midway through the third quarter" taking it easy but I am not overly concerned. Bama is obviously the better team and should win by at least 10. If Bama loses they weren't a great team but we would still control our destiny in the West.

So the fact that we've won 5 of the last 6 in Bryant-Denny doesn't even register with you huh?
