Wow, you PROMISE me, eh?

How much do you think he truly cares about the future of his third college team, one at which he played for one year?

It's not unique to him or Auburn. I doubt John Wall, for example, cares much about the future direction of Kentucky's basketball program.

The point is, I doubt he cares much about the prospect of losing any college accolades. They were a means to an end to him (like most top prospects). It's just the nature of the beast.

No. Does that change the fact that he still isn't and won't be held up as Bo is? No.

A third-year college student busting his arse to reestablish himself and restore his reputation is likely to continue to think quite fondly of the place and the people that provided him the opportunity to do just that.

A kid just out of high school that knows that because of NBA rules he HAS to go somewhere to play that minimum one-year so that he can punch his ticket is likely not to think the same way.

But, hey, all I have is that my son and some of his friends had personal interaction with Cam on-campus and in classes last year and thought he was a helluva guy, so what do I know?

Bo Jackson will always be revered as Auburn's greatest player regardless if he didn't win a NC here. There was no scrutiny around him, he was a two sport athlete, a freak one of a kind athlete, succeeded in MLB and NFL and has own marketing campaign. Bo has always been class since he arrived at Auburn and since, the guy is a great ambassador for the University.

Does he have a statue at FL or Blinn ? My guess is he has fond memories of his time their compared to the other two locations. When he is inducted into the AL HOF, followed by the College Football HOF he will go in as an Auburn Tiger.

He won the Heisman, the National Championship and is going to go #1 in the draft tonight. His life should be as good as it could possibly be, yet for some reason I feel like its not. I feel like he is not enjoying any of it knowing that the other shoe is going to eventually drop and it will all be taken away. Not the money, but the accolades. Thoughts?

shite, Cam just got another bullet for his "mental chamber."

He gave it back and the concensus is that they (Heisman Trust) would have never asked for it back.

My point is while, yeah it's a big deal, when they're making big boy money in the NFL it's not as big of an issue. and in reggies case a superbowl ring helps look past.

To be honest, I don't think Cam Newton cares what anyone thinks about anything ... he's Cam frickin' Newton.
