Back in the glory days of NBA best players would try their best to suit up for all regular season games. Today's NBA player has so much power over the coach he can say I wanna sit tonight's game out. Gotta be a disappointment for a young fan going that 1 night to see their favorite player & player lazily sits out. Also, take a team like Golden State, their losing quite a few games this year to lottery type teams. Trust me, when playoffs begin they'll start to care & team of NBA all stars will win another title. College march madness better overall competitive product.

That's actually pretty interesting... Do defensive minded teams do better in the tournament, because of the relaxed officiating?

Its not so much defensive minded, people have posted the stat before, but normally teams that win the title are teams that rank in the top 20 or 30 in defensive and offensive efficiency.

Sure we made a run and had a great defense that year, but we also turned it on offensively and going over 80 a few times, shooting extremely well and Sin Thornwell averaging like 26-27 ppg game in that run.

People like to say defense wins championships. But you ain't winning a title if you aren't elite in both.

Especially in a 1 game elimination tournament where any team can just get hot and take you out (see UVA last year)

I love watching college hoops, NBA, high school hoops, any hoops really. Doesn't matter the level of competition.

I disagree. Shitty SEC officiating is the root of the problem with watchability.

Indeed. College basketball has gone from possibly my favorite sport to something that feels like a chore to get through.

"I know this will come as a surprise to you but SEC officiating as whole sucks arse but it is especially bad in basketball"

I know this will come as a surprise, but there is no such thing as SEC officials in basketball. They work all conferences.

I know this may come as a surprise to you but I have been watching college basketball my entire life. My dad is a UK alum so I grew up going for kentucky and wanted to go there but couldn't afford out of state.

Not as much as I enjoy watching Bama fans melt about it.

Lol, Bama isn't good at baseball or basketball so their fans question if others really enjoy those sports.

This surprises no one.
