I liked the way the announcer for the video you posted did it. I don't need fake juice yelling. These guys see and announce 100+ games a season, and don't really have a tie to the schools, so they don't really care. They just think they are making it exciting. If you are a fan of the school playing, you don't need the announcers to get you excited and if you are just watching a game because it is two good teams, you are not overly invested.
I absolutely hate it when they are screaming and you can't understand what they are saying. There are a lot of radio announcers that scream and it's well after the play is over before you can figure out exactly what happened.

I wish they screamed out touchdown like the Spanish speaking announcers scream out goallllllllllllll.

Getting excited on a pivotal play is fine, but a second-and-six rush for four is nothing to scream about. That fox guy just screams needlessly.

Fowler is trying to compete with Tess.
These jackasses are trying to brand their voice when commentators like Jackson, Munson and Verne were just themselves and are now legends.
Self-branding like this in any career simply doesn't work. You can only just be your best self and let others decide if you were great or not.

All I know is I miss Munson.
Turning down the TV volume and turning up the radio to watch GA games.

Munson was an unabashed homer, but he was also honest and called the game for the fans, not for his ego.
As a kid I listened to many UGA night games on that 840 station out of Atlanta with absolutely no interest in the outcome but just wanting to hear this old man live and die with the game.
