Do the universities kick back any of this tv money to the donors?

I dont rub elbows with any billionaires but I also doubt they donate to this NIL deal. Most wealthy people I know dont blindly throw money at something with a zero ROI. is this a tax writeoff?

If they’re donating directly to the athletic fund it can no longer be a tax write off.

Idk what they do and I would love a championship as well. Maybe that's what Phil knights doing but how many checks can you write and the player leaves the next year before you just say frick this.

Not only a tax write-off, but having your alma mater doing well is also good for the various businesses run by alumni or simply big, vocal fans.

And then there is the satisfaction of traveling to a playoff game while your wealthy buddies sit at home because their school couldnt cut it.
