LSU owns the series all time

LSU is undefeated against aTm since y'all joined the conference

The only thing aTm can hang their hat on against LSU is

1. Grabbing Chavis off the rebound
2. Speedy Noil Recruiting National Champs

How can you possibly say anything negative about LSU as an aTm fan?

This is classic little brother syndrome. Why don't y'all find a suitable rivalry then jump up to the big league. Start of with the likes of Rice or Lamar then progress to Arkansas. Then maybe just maybe your rivalry with LSU will be accepted. Until then please shut the frick up.

Y'all pathetic ag fans have been on LSU's nads since you came into the league BC ags feel they can't be considered a legit program wo a "rival". LSU fans have put up with and ignored y'all for the most part up till recently, BC y'all incessantly troll and flame daddy like a rebellious little immature teen. Now that some LSU fans are responding, y'all wanna play this stupid "ag-sessed" card while still flaming and trolling the piss outta this LSU site.

No, there is no frickin rivalry with y'all BC rivalry involves hate AND respect. The truth is, NOBODY in the sec respects yalls sorry tails. Arkansas and Mizzou are the closest things to a rivalry yall are gonna get. Y'all don't belong here, and don't be fooled. A&M is not a true sec school. Square peg-round hole.... Aint ever gonna happen. Fla, bama, Ole Miss, Auburn- those programs garner respect and hate. Those games are revered by LSU fans. Those teams are closer to a rivalry than some fly-by, flash in the pan, pissant buncha big 12 faggies.

So, take yer trolling, flaming, and lies to shaggy bevo ya prick.

If LSU doesn't care about A&M, why did y'all ask to move our game to rivalry week?

I mean, the quick/short answer is yes. Mostly, b/c LSU/UF fans in general don't really hate each other...

Its one of the reason this "rivalry" has really only been a rivalry by forcing and by the nature of games being good.

We get it. Texas A&M does not have a true rival in the SEC and their fans are still begging LSU to be their rival so they can stick it to big brother Texas.

STOP begging LSU to be your rival. It is very sad.

I hate florida and ole miss far more than I hate A&M...I still think it's that Big 12 hand me down thing. Wish we would have got a good school like Oklahoma

I will NEVER understand the relevance of this type of statistic. "All time rivalry" numbers are meaningless, especially when they span more than a century.

Two other "rivalries" make a useful point of comparison.

TAMU and Baylor have played 108 times, and TAMU has won 68 of the 99 games which did not end in a tie (about 70%). In the last 25 meetings, the Bears have won exactly TWO games, putting the Aggies recent winning percentage at 92%. If the two teams were to play this year, it would be a very competitive and entertaining game, regardless of the overall series tally or the last 25 meetings.

TAMU and TCU have also played lots of football (92 matches), and TAMU won 56 of the 85 games that did not end in a tie (a bit more than 65%). In the last 25 meetings, the Frogs have won exactly ONE game, giving the Aggies a recent winning percentage of 96%. If the two squads were to play this year, it too would be a very competitive and entertaining game.
quote:

LSU is undefeated against aTm since y'all joined the conference

LSU and TAMU have played 53 times, and LSU has won 30 of the 50 games that did not end in a tie (60%). Simple, factual statement. The overall rivalry can also be broken-down into several distinct eras.

Until the end of WW2, TAMU was the larger school, and the series record (9-6 advantage to TAMU) reflected that fact. That is correct ... the significantly-larger school dominated the series. Imagine that!

During and after WW2 and thru the early 1970s, LSU gradually became the larger school, and (again) the series record reflected that fact, with LSU winning 19 of the 26 games that did not end in a tie (73%). As a indicator of the relative bargaining-position of the two schools, consider the fact that NONE of the 27 games were played in College Station. Basically, the Aggies-vs-LSU in this era were a like modern-day SHSU versus the current Aggies. We traveled to them and sold them a win. Imagine this ... the larger, co-educational university dominated a smaller and (for most of this period) male-only college. Almost inconceivable.

The two schools renewed the old rivalry in the 1980s by signing a ten-year OOC deal. By this time, the schools were comparable in size and neither was a perennial Top-10 team. They basically split the series, with TAMU having a slight advantage of 6-4. Feel free to quote me when other Aggies claim that LSU "ran away" from the series after five straight losses at the end of this period. That assertion is nonsense. The ten-year deal was done. Most large schools were padding the OOC schedules with "cupcakes," and neither TAMU nor LSU was a "cupcake" to the other. A competitive OOC series was not attractive to either school. No one "ran away."

Lastly, we have the truly "modern era." LSU has won four straight. No one with any sense would argue that LSU has not been the more-dominant team (on the national scale) during this era. TAMU was still reeling from the Franchione and Sherman debacles, and LSU took full advantage (as they should have done). I like to think that perhaps my Aggies are now past that point.

So, if we look at that "era" of the rivalry in which TAMU and LSU were both large, powerful schools with good (sometimes exceptional) football programs, LSU leads the series at an overwhelming 8-6.

This year? Both teams are quite good (Top-10), and both teams have their weaknesses. It should be an entertaining matchup.

And we each have a competitive game this week against a ranked opponent. Let's focus on those games and stop trolling one another for a while.
