Kelly will be here soon. UF is now in the process of vetting his wanted assistant coaches(some were at Oregon during the scandal, so much be vetted before UF approves).
LINK
" at this point, the only way Florida does not hire Chip Kelly is if the University receives negative results in its vetting process of his wish list of assistant coaches, will not allow Kelly to bring one or more of them on as an assistant, and if this disagreement happens in a fashion that pisses Kelly off so much that he decides he doesn’t want to coach under this administration."
Let's just hope the vetting is done tomorrow. So my Friday thing doesn't back fire ;/. Either way. UF is getting Chip unless it falls apart.
Hearing the talks of Ryan Day the co cord for Ohio State being his OC, and DC Lupio at Alabama. Would cost a lot for both of them, but Chip is demanding high allotment for assistant coaches.

I thought it was against to promote your own blog on here?
Anyway, looking forward to the breaking news tomorrow. Nice to have an insider around.

I have no blog. I don't know how to do anything on computers but type. No clue how to build a website.

Oh, my bad. I guess I misunderstood.
Congrats on your hire.

Because the talks of the contract were Wednesday afternoon.
Which made sense it wouldn't take this long.
The vetting of assistants is the delay. I don't think anyone expected that to be necessary. I'll take the beating for the Friday thing. All I care is that the deal gets done.

If there’s no press conference announcing Kelly tomorrow, you should bar yourself from post on tRant for 6 months.

I'm good. You can only slam the Friday part. I still got first on the Rant for the confirming the hire.
So I think I'll be just fine. It is going to happen. The flight to NJ just landed from the UAA plane an hour ago(came to Gville last night). I'd assume it's to take Kelly the contract. It was there for twenty minutes, then headed back to Gainesville.
Plane has never done there. No UAA member listed lives near NJ. No ESPN trips planned for coaches. Kind of only means one thing.

Vetting? after the crime spree they let Callaway commit without kicking him off the team?

Too many cooks in that Gainsville kitchen. Kelly isn't coming to that.

The UAA does not recruit players. They don't get involved unless an academic issue. They have their limits. They can control the hiring of asst coaches though.

I'll stand up like a man and take the beating. Rant is my entertainment at work. Can't lose that.

You also had a thread yesterday about the plane landing in Gainesville and a golf cart waiting for Kelly that you wanted deleted.

I'd like to see Kelly at Florida too. It will be beautiful when Spurrier starts dogging him on twitter.
That will lead to much rant entertainment.

Tha frick?
Meaning compensation packages?
Otherwise, that makes zero sense.

As well he should.

I'll acknowledge the obvious that Kelly can coach offense. But consider that LES MILES's offense put 30 on the score board against Kelly's defense.

His offense was top ten twice in three years in philly, and he had bad Qb's from Sanchez to Foles.
He lost the LSU game because Thomas was a rookie who couldn't hold onto the ball. His offense is reliant on backs with quick feet and vision. He didn't have another back to put in and LSU just destroyed the kid.
Look at how well his defense did vs Auburn? That defense was 12th in the nation, despite having more possessions defended than any defense that year.
