I cried a couple times when I was a wee lad and will admit to crying at the end of my last HS game as we left the field. I loved football.

I may have dropped a tear in 2005 the year right after fat Phil turn us in for some questionable actions .

Roman Harper popped Cory Anderson causing him to fumble through the end zone right before scoring , with time running out .

Then marching down the field to ultimately win the game ... Priceless .

I shed a few tears of happiness when the clock hit zero in the super dome versus OU.

I will say that I do stop watching college football for the day when UGA loses mainly to avoid seeing the highlights during other games. I'll go to the movies and not really watch or read any CFB content until about the next Wednesday or so.

This reaction is appropriate as is the length of the grieving period. It’s just a game, therefore it’s okay to live in denial. And the folks who call into postgame shows after a loss will forever remain a mystery to me.

All of these responses are pathetic. Crying over a fricking football game. 11 and under I kinda (not really) get it. But Jesus. There is so much more to this world than fricking football. Get a grip people. My hair loss is more important than whether or not Florida or Miami wins or loses. But keep crying over false idoltry

When I was a kid, I watched football every Saturday with my grandfather. The last game we watched together was the Alabama-Miami national Championship game. He passed away a couple of months later. When Bama beat Texas in 2009, I started crying out of nowhere, because memories just started flooding back. Never cried after a loss, but cried after a win

Blah Blah Blah! Stfu dude! I grew up in the 90’s, when LSU football was terrible. I’ve never cried over football except that one time, and at that moment standing in the dome it was one of the happiest times in my young adult life.

What about kids?
Although I do know a grown man who said losing a football game was worse than a family member dying.

Never cried over a football game, but I was damn depressed the day Tyrone Prothro's career ended prematurely.
