We also think that it wouldn't have mattered because LSU's offense was being run by Jarrett Lee without Charles Scott, and managed only 9 yards total in the 4th quarter.

That has exactly ZERO to do with the principle of the matter. Nobody knows. You do not know. The SEC officiating corruption continues clearly. Stevie wonder coulda seen that video replay. After what we saw happen in 06 the sec offices should be cleaned out or burned to the ground in birmingham. This conference has turned into a frickING JOKE.

You're right. Just ask Georgia fans about that excessive celebration call, Auburn fans about 6 consecutive penalties on one drive, and Bama fans about the no call pass interference call in 2004.

we got fricked on the call. The evidence was clear and that would have been a INT even on Sundays. I am no longer a fan of the SEC until the office that is a homer for the school 45 miles down the road is completely revamped. I am pulling for Texas from here on out.

you're talking about how lsu fans are whining but you're going to complain about a call from 04?

I think his point is it happens everywhere in every game that call was blatant as well. If memory serves correctly the ref served a 2 game suspension for that and it changed the complexion of the game, but it didnt cause us to lose.

The Georgia penalty made a huge difference. It helped LSU start their drive on the UGA 38 yard line needing a FG to win. Had that penalty not been called there is no way that LSU would have even been able to run the ball. Since the ball was basically returned into FG position it was a huge call and LSU could run whatever plays they wanted. The make up call doesn't change the fact you got a huge gift and might not have scored if not for the penalty. Was it more important than the Bama call? No. Was a call at that point equally important? Yes.
I stand by what I said. You don't know what you're talking about regarding the UGA game. As you said the penalty against UGA helped to get us in good posistion, but again it was only 15 yards added to what we were already able to generate. UGA had the same help and because we had better kickoff coverage and played better defense than they did, they couldn't score and we win. A possession changing call has way more significance than a lousy 15 yard penalty that, again had NOTHING to do with possesion of the ball.
