Yet here we are
Of all the silly things to die for
Of all the silly things to die for

We aren’t
We didn’t roster them
We didn’t roster them

They aren’t dead yet, but committing suicide seems to be the way it’s headed

Yeah. I agree! Maybe we shouldn’t put them on the roster? Seems like a bad idea.
I’m going to write a note to Lane and tell him not to roster any player who was ever in an NFL training camp!
Oh, wait.

The ONLY SCHOOL that did that was Texas. And guess what. Not a peep. What does that tell you about what is going on

But, this is fine...

Ole Miss coach Pete Golding, at the center of a high-profile NCAA investigation into alleged tampering, has informed the NCAA he will expose rampant tampering in the sport if sanctioned, a person close to the situation told USA TODAY Sports.
Golding declined comment to USA TODAY Sports when asked Wednesday if he threatened the NCAA — but spoke at length on tampering problems in college football.
“I think a lot of things make headlines,” Golding said. “There's a lot more people involved that everybody might not know. I'm not gonna sit up here and say whatever we did or we didn't do, was it right or was it wrong? But, you know, when you go through what we went through (with tampering), and what you're seeing day-in and day-out, some things you feel like shouldn't matter that, you know, they're making a big deal about.”

this is not only about the professional athletes from the NFL.

You people do realize the SEC and all these conferences are dying right. The SEC is shell of itself since we let the latest two mid-west teams in... Please do not vote LSU out on its own ....

SEC Commish: LSU if you roster these players we’ll fine you $35M, suspend your coach and your conference voting rights.
LSU: Ok, we were never going to break league rules. Didn’t roster the players.
SEC Commish: I’m convening the presidents to vote on expelling you for following our rules.
In what world is that defensible? Clown world.

This is like a guy who hired an undercover cop to kill his wife saying "Why am I in trouble? She's not dead."

Your problem is your coach thought he was fighting the NCAA. He's not. He's fighting the conference.

It's honestly shocking that LSU took this route.

How did they die on that hill when they're not even on the roster?

Except that's not how it happened at all.
And the schools did these things. The schools convened themselves and voted unofficially. They're the ones convening now to vote officially.
If Sankey is the one doing all this, then they'd be voting to fire him. He is acting at the direction of the schools.

Your problem is
That too many people are just going along with the company line. There is something much bigger at play here. None of this shite makes any sense and it isn't even remotely consistent across the board.

Brother, you think you are fighting the good fight? Roster those players.
MLK didn't just threaten to march, he did it.
Rosa Parks didn't threaten to sit down while white people stood, she did it.
Susan B. Anthony didn't threaten to protest for the right to vote, she did it.
You think you are on the right side of history here, roster those players.
What does your Prez say? Nothing. He's a puppet.

I don't give two shits if those guys ever play for LSU or not. But, they deserve to play somewhere. The NCAA is wrong. The SEC is wrong. This is unprecedented action taken against a founding member for this? Again, something that bigger is at play here and people are just eating up this distraction. This is starting to sound more like a political campaign than an athletic conference.
