Can't debate my statement at all, points out that I am not a fan of the university.

He retired BECAUSE he is sick

That was more or less the narrative for Urban when he "quit" Florida.

Things like illness and PR moves have a way of shaking out naturally. Stay tuned.

They said he was diagnosed prior to the season, at that point they made the decision it's not a big enough deal to stop him from coaching.

He had a PET scan in late October and decided this would be his last season. That more than likely means the cancer spread despite manageable treatment and likely means more intensive treatment. IMO the whole debacle just forced his hand to announce sooner than he may have planned.

Cancer isn't convenient though. People are shitty to suggest that. Maybe the guy wanted to announce with dignity at the end of the season but a bunch of radical idiots who have taken hostage your University forced his hand?

Pinkel shared the information with the Board of Curators and one of them leaked it in retaliation.

It leaked early. He wasn't going to announce it until later. Likely to try and salvage the recruiting class.

Pretty shitty for people to question a cancer diagnosis though. Of course it's not surprising around here.

I truly believe he is sick, therefore deserves time to take care of himself.

Don't see him pulling an Urban

Well then, frick them too.

My point still stands though. I don't think he wanted to drop it like that and was just trying to coach while managing his diagnosis without being the "coach with cancer" for the media. And it's shitty for people to suggest he used it to his advantage.

Yes, your point still stands. And Missourifan26, you use to be entertaining and likeable. Over this mess though, you have gone way overboard (not that you care) and have become an insufferable douche at the level of Jagd. I will always respect the fact you are serving our country, but you also need to grow the frick up.

Sorry to hear that, I am truly disgusted by the cowardice showed by the university through this mess though. My jabs have nothing to do with you or any of our other few good posters.
