I just find it hilarious that dumbshits like stapuff, who looks like an aids patient, thinks LSU and Bama have different admission standards.
If he had qualified at LSU ( needing 7 classes)and he was from Alabama, I'm sure you would be above saying it looks fishy.

Ya think they might have stretched the rules a bit?
Wasn't he part of that really fishy 36-member Bama recruiting class?

I think this is what Saban means by impacting kid's lives. You can't be a part of such a success story in the pros. And you can tell Saban really likes the kid and has always gushed (even when trich & mark was around) when talking about him.
This bullshite. If the kid didnt have talent , Saban wouldn't have given a shite about him. He would've been processed and you know it.

We haven't signed 36 players in a single class since Saban's been here. And no, he wasn't.

He had a pulse, which is all it takes at LSU. LSU just didn't want to wait on him to get eligible. Big gamble and big loss on their part imo.
Not a big loss. He would be nothing more than a PART of our rb by committee. Not that he isn't talented , but our rb position is our deepest and best position as far as quality depth.

Also ,I've never heard of a student/ athlete making up 7 classes in one month. Have you?
Theres that famous saying that theres always a first for everything. Well obviously Bama made sure that Lacy was the first student to need 7 course credits in a month and get it lol

I don't troll boy. I'm sorry you don't like what I say but it's not trolling. I've met Lacy, he is dumb. So are a bunch of LSU players.
I clearly said EVERY TEAM has dumb players.
If you're referring to the Bama cheating post, sorry you don't like FACTS
As far as major sanctions at SEC schools , BAMA is second to only Auburn. That's a fact. Bama has the second most major sanctions of any SEC school. While LSU is tied with Vandy for least major sanctions.
These are facts. Sorry you think they are trolls.
ETA: I know more about football than you do about anything in life. DWI. Just because a post isn't to your liking , doesn't make it a troll.
I'm sorry you let a game ,played by kids , determine your worth as a person.

He said he didn't want to play for team whose o-line couldn't hold on every play. He went on to explain it probably means their boosters are chumps so they don't grease the refs hands or give out $$ handshakes after the game.
He never mentioned whining, UGA or LSU though so I can't be sure about his intent.

who. the. frick. cares? LSU didn't want to wait on him and took Ford instead. I think LSU has done ok at RB
good for Alabama. Hopefully our guys from Alabama (Kwon Alexander and Stephen Rivers) pan out as well as Lacy has for them. I think Kwon 100% will.

Anyone have a link to the claim that he needed 7 classes in the summer to qualify is this just another message board exaggertion that eventually gets accepted as fact.
So, according to some LSU fans, Lacy is dumb as a rock, nothing special interms of talent, and unable to stay healthy for a season. No sour grapes there.

He had an offer from LSU at 1 point during his recruitment process. That is a fact. At 1 point he indeed had an offer from LSU. Then the concerns about his grades surfaced, and everyone knew he wasnt a big LSU fan like most local players are. Not sure if we pulled his offer because we knew he wasnt coming here or what, but he did have an offer.

Did Eddie Lacy really not get an LSU offer out of HS?
Correct. The story is that Lacy had a terrible sophomore year in HS. Les did not think there was any way he could qualify. Saban challenged him to get his GPA up and he did at the last possible opportunity - summer school after his senior year.
So Lacy qualified by the skin of his teeth because Saban believed in him, while Les didn't. I have always wished Les would have believed in Lacy.

I agree. We have been seriously lacking at RB since.

He isn't that dumb. He failed classes early in HS and hasn't had any reported academic issues since.
We're talking about a kid who screwed up when he was 15 or 16 and spent the rest of HS trying to make up for it.

I just think its funny. We can't take everyone; even good players from our backyard. I wish we could take Ellis this year but he just doesn't fit in the class.
If Lacy wanted to come here like most of our local players do, we would have kept mutual interest in him regardless of grades and gave him a shot to qualify and kept his offer on the table. We knew he wasnt that interested in LSU, so we pulled it. Kinda like the Tim Williams recruiting issue right now. Not that interested in LSU, so we back off.

We certainly had room for 2 RBs and we definitely wanted Lacy. We didn't think he would qualify but he did. Lesson learned.
