Uh, no. Shallow defensive line depth did.
Is Murray's height ideal? Well, no. Jack Murray up to 6'4 and he is a Matt Stafford clone.
But he is still going to shatter numerous QB records at 5'11/6 ft. He has still led UGA to back-to-back SECCG's, wins over UF, UTk, Auburn, Tech (our biggest rivals), and 10+ win seasons.
Is he the greatest UGA QB of all time? Not currently, no, but he still has one season to go.
Bama was just the slightly better rounded team than we were last year. No shame in admitting that. But it wasn't Murray's height that made us less.

I agree.
You can't compliment Murray without giving the same compliment to McCarron.
And vice versa.
McCarron hasn't had the offense on his shoulders.
But he's been very careful with the football to his credit.
Murray has had to burden the offense at points, and his production has been better than AJ. But with more of the burden comes more of the turnovers.
They are pretty equal. And I would expect similar results if they were on the other team.
Good point.
Murray behind Bama's 2012 OL vs McCarron behind UGA's 2012 OL, who would have the better #'s?

Of course, if Aaron Murray was 6'5 they would have won 3 of the last 4 BCS Championships.

Forgive me for misreading. Doesn't change the fact that you fall in line with the rest of the USCe fans on this board.

No shite.
I swear, the only reason some of them exist on this board is to obsessively post about UGA.
And they wonder why other fans don't take them seriously...

A: They have helped bolster JD Clowney's sack stats immensely.
Actually, the failures of the respective offensive lines helped to bolster Clowney's sack count. Unless you're trying to insinuate that Murray and Boyd have purposefully stepped in front of a moving train on multiple occasions, in which case I'm going to assume you're out of touch with reality (This coming from a Carolina fan. Gotta love it.)

Most of the Carolina students I know are from GA and didn't get into UGA. Carolina is the new Auburn.

It's a funny feeling, when suspicions are confirmed. I don't know whether to feel relief or a dirth of optimism that the world isn't a ignorant as I once feared.

Now I despise Richt and hope he gets fired or retires soon.
Don't worry, once Georgia loses to Clemson and SC(again), Richt will be gone.
Oh wait, nevermind, the vast majority of Georgia's fanbase is satisfied with two straight SEC East championships.

I'll never understand how a SEC school with no real in-state competition, in the best high school football state not named Florida, Texas, or California is unable to produce a program on par with even Auburn (at least Auburn has won something of note in the past decade). And Auburn has to compete for in-state recruits with the greatest program of this generation.
Georgia should be so much better on a yearly basis than they are now.
I hope UGA never fires Richt.

Oh the guy who played Pee Wee ball with D Pollock.
He has to be the most forgettable QB in UGA history. Who cares.

Because, you know, that state line actually is a magic force field that keeps neighboring teams like Bama, Auburn, Florida, FSU, Carolina, Tennessee, and Clemson from recruiting any of that top talent that we are apparently just giving away out of the kindness of Richt's missionary heart.
But in the event that that's not the case - that the state of Georgia isn't a totalitarian state encapsulated by a 20 foot wall all the way around - I hope one day you can come to some sort of understanding. I really do.
