As a recruit, absolutely. But now, seeing that he's underperformed (bust) and has embarrassed his school by getting in trouble with the law multiple times, I am thankful he doesn't wear the Garnet & Black.

Eta- also I don't think having DGB would be a huge thing for us. WR just isn't a big need right now and I don't think we would've had a better season with him on our team the past two years.

I didn't say that.

The only thing I've said, and I've said it repeatedly so I don't understand the confusion, is that DGB hasn't done shite at Mizzou and the stats he does have came against terrible opponents.

You are dumb. You can pick apart any players stats if you want move around the goalposts like that.

I guess you'd agree that Clowney was a HUGE bust then?

Oh, he's dumb alright. And yes, Clowney was a titanic bust.

You see DGB gave effort while Clowney was repeatedly called out for loafing, even by his own head coach.

Really bad post. Spurrier called out clowney for waiting till the last minute to tell coaches he couldn't play. Clowney and dgb should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Clowney NEVER got in trouble at SC and by all accounts was a model student athlete. Would have loved him at Alabama. DGB, not so much.

Here's a link with a description of the incident that led to DGB's suspension.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2021113-dorial-green-beckham-involved-in-alleged-assault-of-woman

quote:

]In new details coming from The Maneater, Green-Beckham was witnessed by five to 10 people outside of his apartment building assaulting "a girl." Green-Beckham's sophomore roommates Mike Henke and Chris Connor were in their Brookside Apartments townhouse when, at about 2 a.m., they heard yelling coming from outside.

After making their way down to the street, they encountered a neighbor who was frantic for them to call 911.

"He said some guy was hitting a girl," Connor recalled of the neighbor. That neighbor was then heard telling others that Green-Beckham was the assailant.

Talking of the suspension, head coach Gary Pinkel said in a press release, per the Columbia Missourian, "It's unfortunate, but it's the right thing to do for our football program, for the athletic department, and also for Dorial."

As Green-Beckham was leaving the incident in a white Dodge Charger, a woman beat on the side of the vehicle he was riding in. Other unidentified Mizzou teammates told the crowd of witnesses not to call police, according to Connor.

The crowd disobeyed, and Columbia police arrived 15 minutes later.

I mean point out a game against quality opposition that DGB put up some respectable numbers. I'll wait

Defenses geared up to stop DGB which freed up our other receivers and our run game.

Am I doing the whole Clowney/stat argument correctly?

This isn't a fair comparison. DGB did all this while leading the conference in receiving TDs. Clowney finished 30th in the SEC in sacks.

Where did he get those tickets for speeding? Juneau Alaska and Kennebunkport Maine. Please enlighten me....

And in the end Arkansas dodged a bullet with this one. Maybe DGB's momma needed to worry about the mizzou night life instead of Fayetteville.

Solid post. Clowney cannot, in any way, be considered a bust. He is likely going to be the first pick of the draft. Top 5 at least. DGB won't even be at Mizzou in a couple months if he keeps this up. Clowney's third year was disappointing if you're looking at just stats but he got way more attention than anyone else on the field. Plus, his first 2 seasons were fantastic. DGB hasn't had a fantastic year and has definitely not lived up to his #1 recruit in the country status.
