Arkansas is best with Davis in the game and Smith on the bench as we saw in the 2nd half last night.

Well Davis is a third-year player and Smith has barely played this year as a freshman. It’s not a surprise. Both are good players and Smith has the NBA upside.

Is anyone arguing he’s not?

Yup. Devo was amazing last night. I hope Nick gets to shine this next game. Love to them both.

He's gonna be a lottery pick. I can't stand dumbasses that don't understand how and why NBA teams draft players.

He’s still projected in the top 10 in mock drafts I’ve seen. Have you read otherwise or just speculating?

Hard to disagree. Davis comes up big at crunch time. Smith hasn't lived up to the hype when he has been on the court.

Davis is a vet. Smith will be gone in 1-4 games, so we will probably never know.

NBA places a lot of draft emphasis on potential. Even though he didn't do much at Arkansas, he will still be a early draft pick. Too bad his time at Arkansas he was mostly injured.

Well one player has played in two Elite 8’s and one has played like 15 total games in his college career.

How did Brandon Miller look after 15 games?

Why are you comparing non conference games to the NCAA Tourney? Lol

NSJ after missing two months came back and was averaging almost 20 points a game.

He was going top 3 in most preseason mock drafts, now he’ll probably be borderline top 10. Another stinker in the sweet 16 would definitely have people questioning taking him super early.

I give him props though for coming back, I dont think he is 100% and even if he is he is rusty. Devo is playing better than him right now by a lot but Smiths future looks bright.

He’s been passed up by Miller as a prospect but no shame in that. He was likely going after at least one of the Thompson twins anyway.

Injuries.

Had Smith played all year he would probably look a lot better than he has. He hasn't though so you are getting the early season freshman blues against the best competition in the country. Not a good mix.

That having been said... yes, Devo has been better for the team, especially in the NCAAT when he becomes Mr. March for Arkansas. It happens.

I'd go to the NBA if I was Nick Smith, but he'd be a better player if he had a full year at Arkansas before he went. The NBA will still snap him up though.

NSjr is a selfish one and done. All college athletics are in the crapper because nil and early leaving.
