The refs didn't consider it to be a fair catch, if they did the result of the play would have been a ten yard penalty at the spot of the foul.

They also considered it ejection worthy.

This isn't what happened, Vandy advanced the ball.

So now you're taking the refs at their word. Gotcha. The refs considered the hit both malicious and intentional and that is why the player was ejected.

Good job refs

Wade now has a week or two to watch two actually good teams play football. Enjoy the show.

That's good.

He completed his suspension a couple hours ago.

He made a moon that could be confused for a fair catch....and I know the rules bud. Must be over the head.

No, no explanation was given for the ejection.

It could just as well been the "celebration" afterwards or Curles' revenge.

Not a frick is given either way.

It doesn't matter, every other team in the nation and everyone else on his team knows you have to see him catch the ball first. He ran down their recklessly, and put an uncalled for hit on the returner. It sucks he just wanted the big hit, but it was no accident. He purposely leveled the player who never had a chance at the ball.

You sure? Arkansas fans sure do seem to be throwing a serious hissy fit. Lots of fricks are being given by hog fans right now.

Well, a team with actual talent would probably suspend him for the following game too.

I'll give Arkansas a break. Big-12 teams need all the help they can get.

It isn't like he is abusing drugs.

He was ejected from a football game.

Sorry for hitting too hard.

Even if Arky didn't agree with the ejection, I'd he acted as some say he did when being escorted off, he probably will catch a suspension.

Yeah, Mallett probably should have been sent to jail for all his drug abuse

LSU wouldn't play someone who takes cheap shots on defenseless punt returners, though. Second rate programs can't afford to sit a decent athlete so I should probably cut you some slack.

Yeah he shouldn't be suspended, but I don't think the ejection was too harsh. Hits like that could paralyze or even kill players. Need to send a statement.

This thread is amazing. How in the hell do you defend that in any possible way?

Which would be fine, if it was consistently enforced via ejections.

It has not been, just last week only a ten yard penalty resulted from Joe Adams being hit in a similar fashion.
