First player in the BCS era to win 2 national titles
My son and his friends love to play CFB trivia. I am about to stump their little minds.

This year it is Bama's Chris Owens. He stepped in at center in the two playoffs games and performed magnificently.

Then, in 1991, he led one of the greatest comebacks in history when the Vols beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 35-34 after being down 31-7.
That was great fricking game. I grew up in Tennessee as a Bama fan, and all my buddies were Vol fans. I remember getting sucked into rooting for the Orange in South Bend. Kelly was the epitome of a guy who played above his talent level.

Rob Ezell. Best Saban impression I ever heard Rob Ezell imitates Nick Saban

Keith Zinger and Ryan Gaudet also qualify but Pittman played significant snaps in both the 03 and 07 title games.

Roy Upchurch. I loved the way he ran and one of his last catches in 2009 was my absolute fav.

He was really good. Glenn Dorsey got most of the love and attention, but Ricky Jean-Francois was right there making plays.

To go the opposite direction:
I absolutely 100% hate Wayne Trimble.

Keith Brown. The first year I started keeping up with Bama recruiting we signed him and DJ hall, both 4 star WRs. Hall the more productive career but I always liked the way Brown played. This play vs Florida stands out. He could fly.
I think that was the game when Bama introduced Urban Meyer to the SEC 31-3.

Auburn had a back up lineback named Wayne Bylsma.
He was on special teams. Bald. Jumped around a bunch. Made some tackles. Just liked the look of a bald guy with #55.
I think he got sent home from a bowl game?
Anybody know that story?

He's made a name for himself in the NFL with the Steelers but Mike Hilton was a fantastic DB at Ole Miss who did not get a ton of recognition or honors in college despite a great career

I'll go with Derek Abney. He was a danger to take a kick back every time he touched the ball. Returned 2 against Florida in one game. Guy had a motor in the open field.
1:23 of Abneyness

Jontre Kirkland and Chris Curry on last year’s team will hold a special place. Neither are anywhere near the top tier of talented guys we’ve had here but when the chips were down they showed great toughness, heart, and leadership in helping us win those last two games.
