Does Odom have a connection to him? It's funny cuz it's Dooley but in all seriousness why the frick would you hire a known failure/joke in the conference who has never been an OC or even hired one (which would at least show he could pick OCs if nothing else)?

Dooley tried to teach Dez proper shower technique, so there's that.

People don’t want to work for Odom. Everything else being equal. Our OLine coach left an SEC Oline job to be UCF’s Oline coach. He’s on his third Dline coach in two years. His second Dcoordinator. His third LB coach.

It is what it is.

Wait, what????????????

Has he ever coached QBs? Or called plays? Or been an "offensive plays" guy? Hasn't he exclusively been a TE/WR/RB/ST coach?

why is that? I honestly don't know much about Odom. Does he have the reputation of being hard to work with?

Not sure why.

Him and Kuligowski, Miami’s Dline coach, only communicated through grad assistants Pinkel’s last year. And the staff has been a virtual turnstile since he got here.

He also made a weird comment about Pinkel’s staff being a “country club atmosphere” back when he was hired.

Oh jesus. Him and Dooley will get along great -- the whole communicating through grad students sounds like something Dooley would do. I feel sorry for the rest of your staff.

These f'in dopes are happy with the hire. We have such a stupid fan base, just morons who only know names and step and fetch for what ever the University does.

It's why the football program was shite for decades, they came to tail gate, leave at halftime, drink, party, then go home. It was a speed bump for NFL on Sunday. A place to party. Gave no f'ks about winning football.

And now they are just as dumb.

Bass knows less than dick

Odom just made a hilariously stupid decision. He probably liked him in the interview and said frick it. I'll do what I want. Could have hired Jed Fisch if he wanted to

If I thought that Dooley was responsible for Tennessee's offenses while he was here I'd be stoked as hell but he didn't even make an OC hire on his own let alone call the plays. He just kept on Chaney.

The ONE good thing about Dooley is that he recruited some stud WRs but that's about it.
