Much different team last year to this year.

True enough, but Iowa State also beat OU and Syracuse beat Clemson. Even great teams encounter the occasional hiccup. I don't think either of these instances justifies trusting Odom on this hire. This hire is just plain BAD.

If I thought that Dooley was responsible for Tennessee's offenses while he was here I'd be stoked as hell but he didn't even make an OC hire on his own let alone call the plays. He just kept on Chaney.

Dooley was required to keep kiffins staff that didnt leave with him. This era of throwing cash around to get rid of staff wasnt started yet. lucked out with chaney. He hired wilcox which was a good get, but not a fit for a north western guy.

This is an interesting move by Dooley. Dude is playing chess. He's pretty much adding OC experience in the SEC East under a HC with an expiration date. Nothing to lose, and more to gain as he gets his shite together.

That was actually one of the most badass things I have ever seen a coach do.

Not only can Dooley catch long bombs, he can also use his attorney background and get Mizzou players good legal advice if they should get in trouble.

Win/win...almost as good as the pre-paid legal scam !
