I'd still like to know, is the contention that the ncaa is concerned with the street agents, but NOT with who is paying the street agents salaries?

They are concerned with that as well but the big concern is how to get agents out of sports. Street agents are all over basketball and are taking over football as well and the NCAA has decided it wants to find out how to stop them.

Who knows? The only thing that is 100% not up for discussion is that the NCAA is looking into AU's recruiting.

He shuffled these kids to Auburn for unofficial visits for no cost to the kid?
That's Nelson's story.

I have heard other sides, too.

One being that he made certain demands of schools. Nobody will say that his demands were met, and I sure hope they were not, but the people I talked to swear he made demands.

They also say he was rebuffed when making requests of LSU.

Take it all fwiw. . .and I don't know that it is true. . .

. . .but that is what I have heard around the way.

Well what's the problem with street agents? If they merely offer advice on which school to attend, well, no biggie. But then they really would be mentors. However, they are called "agents." Why? Because agents, unlike mentors, get paid. Who's paying these agents? Is it the kids? Nope? Who can it be then? Shot the dark, but maybe alumni?

Street agents sometimes ahve their hands out to schools, other times they are giving cash to the family in hopes that if the kid goes pro they get the shoe contract or get to be his agent later. They are looking for a pay day anyway they can.

Thats the point. As it pertains to college athletics, these guys are seeking payouts from th schools to get kids to sign with them.

So, the NCAA is trying to keep this on the DL, so they instruct Lorio to go tell the world specifically what the NCAA was asking about??

Dude, I see why you are relegated to picking up and washing jock straps on a daily basis.

1. During the recent NCAA questioning the most relevant question asked to me was “Do I think Auburn had done anything illegal in recruiting the two players from Thibodaux High.” A Thibodaux High administrator was present and will verify that my answer was, “I am not aware of anything illegal during their recruitment process.”

Not investigating AU one bit.

You mean do the right thing, instead of acting like you were unaware of it the whole time?

Please... when has AU ever done the right thing when it comes to the NCAA?

There is a reason you are so high on the list of Sanctions.

Umm, yes

Does Bama currently have 15+ sports programs on NCAA probation? Has Bama been on probation in football for like 15 consecutive years?

You guys kill me with, 'we did the right thing' as if that totally erases the fact you had a coach cheating.

LSU had NO CHOICE but to fire the coach.

LOL at LSU fans on their NCAA moral high horse
