Reading the last 15 pages or so of the game thread on the tiger rant is hilarious.
It went from 'YEA MOTHERfrickER, CRUISING TO SEC TITLE'
to
'We don't give a shite bout this game, doesn't matter. We'll try when it matter.'
I can't forget the usual, THIS IS ARKANSAS' OMAHA CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES posts.

So typical.
The only people that "don't care" about the SEC tourney are the teams on the outside looking in. I told myself I wasn't going to care this year and found myself yelling at the tv for 4 hours in the Mizzou game -- it was total bullshite.
LSU wins tomorrow and Saturday -- and they'll suddenly become REAL interested again.

This where you go hypocritical with the rest of your fanbase?
"Mainieri can nevArrrr lose in Hoover! He OWNS it!"
Gets arse kicked by MSU twice -- "who cares about Hoover, it is meaningless!!1!1"

Not really.
I think it would be ignorant to say that we didn't want to win the thing, but I believe certain teams have very different things to work on than others (as you very well know as well). To improve ourselves, we need to work on individual things at this moment. For other teams, it amounts to actually winning games at all costs. That is not our position, although I would certainly like a win to be the end result.
Winning this would maybe bump us one national seeding spot. That's it. Anyone who knows college baseball knows that incentive is marginal at best. I also certainly do not want to burn ourselves out this weekend like many teams have done before us.
In complete honesty, for this NCAA tournament I wanted to see (in order of importance):
1) Ryan Eades to restore himself as our #2 starter
Yet to be seen. Not super confident in him as it is. He used to seem more comfortable out of the stretch but now it seems evident he's just getting hit a lot more in general. Ole miss weekend last weekend was big IMO and he blew a gigantic lead after our second team built it. We need Ryan to be dominant because Mainieri will not change his positioning in the rotation due to potential. He is so very vital to our postseason success.
2) Cody Glenn to continue to hold it down at the #3
He did. I am, and have been, very impressed with Cody after his handful of mediocre starts entering SEC play this season. The kid has turned into a bulldog and I hope we will continue.
3) Hitting in the clutch
Let down and will continue to be a week by week thing. This week, it has not faired well. Lets hope it heats up later this weekend but more importantly next weekend and beyond.
I would also love to mention that our lineup anchor, Jacoby Jones (you might have heard of him), is out and will be back for regionals. His recent resurgence has not only been a great way to evenly round out our lineup, but the kid is a threat every time up to the plate and would be a 3 hole hitter in many more SEC lineups.
Engie and to all the others that want to talk shite but this is the time of the year that I think a team like LSU doesn't need to talk much shite. We will be able to continue what we have done to make it to Omaha and from there in.
