Well the problem is our offense has been mediocre at best the past few games. But yes defense is what wins national titles otherwise Oklahoma would have won at least one title by now

It's just a dumb statement. If Auburn had a top 3 (SEC) offense, we would have mowed down the entire SEC...and if ifs and nuts were candies and nuts... we didn't. To win championships, you have to have some combination that adds up to a great team. Auburn 2010 had very good rush defense, but otherwise, very average. But great offense: natty. Our 2013 team was one play from winning the natty. Same story. Maybe you've got a level 8 defense and a 10 offense, or vice versa. A great defense certainly can go a long way toward winning championships...but it ain't happening with at least competent offense and/or vice versa.

UGA's defense is going to give up 40+.

If that's the case, every 1 of them will be earned with blood, sweat and tears. Our defense is a very, very good and deep group. Nothing like LSU has seen all season.

So was that defense ya'll were playing the last two times Bama came back on your asses and won the game? Yeah, nice defense in that NC game two years ago and in the SECCG game last year.

UGA is going to have to VASTLY outplay LSU's defense to have a shot. So far against common opponents, UGA has been marginally better.

Now do offense so he can see where the real frickin will come from.

Surely you recognize the 2019 LSU offense is light years ahead of 2018?

Considerably stronger isn't even close to describing the LSU offense this year compared to last year. You're really terrible at this.

eta: And you're also referencing a game in which UGA got it's arse handed to them.

Of course. But I also recognize UGA's defense is light years ahead of 2018.

Also, many LSU fans keep pointing back to the whooping UGA took in Death Valley. So we can just selectively refer to that game when it fits a narrative?

I strongly believe the LSU "O' has a better chance of scoring 10 pts on UGA "D" than the opposite.

Come on, for Georgia’s defense to be as dominant as LSU’s offense, they would have to be record breaking, which they are not. LSU’s games really haven’t been in doubt. The closest games they had, Texas, Auburn, and Bama, the losing team scored late when they were down by two scores to make it closer than it really was.

If true, LSU would have won the NC in 2011/2012

Dick ridin' LSU now. Barners have stooped to a new level that I didn't know existed. "My big brother will beat you up since I can't do it."

True but you also need to play offense at an acceptable level to win a championship. The team with the worst Offensive FEI to win a NC was 2015 Alabama. They were 24th in Offensive FEI. Besides that Alabama team, the team with the second lowest Offensive FEI was 2009 Alabama that was ranked 16th. Georgia is currently ranked 31st in Offensive FEI. Here are some teams that ranked lower than 20th in Offensive FEI the last few years; 2018 Notre Dame (29th), 2017 Clemson (21st), 2016 Ohio State (21st), 2015 Michigan State (31st). Notice something that all of those teams have in common? All of those offenses got absolutely shut down in the CFB Playoff and they all ended up getting blown out.

I love how LSU fans continue to undersell how dominant our defense has been. Not an single team has score more then 17 points of offense the entire season. The defense has only given up one rushing TD all season you have to go back extremely far to find a defense that's pulled that off.

They may not be breaking records but they have certainly been just as elite as LSU has on offense.
