No idea who you're referring to

Probably Shackleford.

If he doesn't play this year, he gets a medical redshirt year. He used his redshirt year last year after playing as a true freshman.

Well Sederious Bryant got all SEC freshman and he's third string.

Pretty much any freshmen LB that suits up get this. Not many of them play.

I guess you're right. The whole senior thing threw me off since he will have two years of eligibility left after this season. Shack 2014 will murder your family

Didn't y'all play two last year?

Shackleford is out again this year. Not sure if he will ever suit up again to be honest

He's going to be a 21 y/o sophomore if he gets the medical redshirt this year.

There is nothing wrong about being a 21 y/o sophomore.

I thought you could only apply for a medical redshirt after your original 5 to play 4 ran out. Can you apply for a MRS before that point?

Then you're an idiot. He could play this year If he wanted to but wouldn't be 100% until midway through so he didn't want to waste half a year to play too early and risk injury

Only Matthew Wells had PT off the top of my head last year and it mostly came early on.

We're more or less already figuring that he will be getting that MedRS into the equation.

Technically no. But he's going to get it so while he's technically a RS junior this year, he will be a RS senior for both 2013 and 2014, which would make him a RS sophomore this year if you used logic instead of technicalities

That's fair. I should clarify that I was referring to your gutless University that requested the band no longer play it when the "to Hell with LSU" gambit didn't take root.

It's not the university's fault. It's the dumbass students who wouldn't stop the "The South Will Rise Again" chants.

Shack was a freshman in 2009, sophomore in 2010, and used his redshirt last year.

IF he gets a medical redshirt, he will have 2 years left. Otherwise 2013 will be his final season.

Yeah that sucks. No stranger to losing our best players to injuries here.
