Current radar.

There is some gnarly stuff less than 50 miles from Hoover.

You’re probably the kind of idiot they thinks entire CWA areas having to suffer severe weather coverage on local TV is dumb.

That’s not how this works. The FCC made this decision a half century ago. Just because you aren’t personally affected doesn’t mean acting out of an abundance of caution when human lives are at stake is bad. Huntsville had tornadoes pass very close to the north and south of the main metro. I hate it, but it is the right call.

These cancelations are some gay arse espn/ Hoover sports "experts," but really, cash counting, butts-in-seats type chodes who made this decision.

This is window licker thinking. There's no way in hell espn would rather have a 9:00 am game than a prime time game. It may have been a week call but your take is just stupid.

Looking at the radar now, they would not have gotten that game in.

Made the right call? Nothing has shown up in Hoover. Zero.

It is just risk/lawsuit avoidance.

You are pissed. But you aren’t going to sue them.

If a storm fired up 40 miles SW of Hoover in the 8th inning and a tornado rolled through the parking lot as people were trying to evacuate then there would be too many lawyers show up to form a single file line.

They should have played in my opinion.

But I understand them cancelling when there is a line with confirmed violent storms on the way. It isn’t a matter of if it gets nasty, just when and who gets the worst of it.

You know it is possible to just downvote someone without announcing every downvote in a new post? That would save you a lot of work.

One already went through so we'd already be in a weather delay.

Oh shite, I just realized that I may be downvoted again.
