He definitely made it harder on himself than it could’ve been but one issue was there wasn’t exactly an heir apparent to be play caller. Leach didn’t have an OC, he was the OC. Arguably would’ve been just as big of a risk to give the reigns to a Leach guy who had never called plays before.

Unfortunately last year was probably always destined to be a mess.
