The NCAA should have been as straightforward as DS in his statement. Calling them deceitful and disengenuous and misleading. Seems if they thought he was, they'd have actually said that.

I'd rather see how they respond to his statement today first. They kinda opened the bag by responding in the first place, now they've gotta say something again.

Google his articles. Never ceases to amaze me the blind defensive mechanism built into some. At least do a little research on the person repeating what was told to them by an NCAA contact before trying to say he's not credible.

I didn't miss the IF on that one statement. I also didn't miss the part where, The NCAA is alleging the wealthy Au booster paying Cecil, either. There was no 'if' on that statement

Agreed. However, until a week ago, the NCAA didn't confirm that it was still under investigation and you didn't have someone with the track record and stature of Sheridan coming forward with a statement that bold and saying it came directly from a source in the NCAA.

No, I would look at who is saying what and how thick the smoke is. As a fan, I've seen enough to know when something is close to coming down on the program. If Sheridan said that about Bama, I, as a fan would be very uneasy and certainly not saying he's a hack. There are some things you can dismiss easily.. such as the Jerrell Harris packet, as being nutcase accusations. There are other things, such as NCAA investigations and reputable analysts with established contacts saying they know a specific allegation.
