Plain and simple, this guy used this ploy to advertise how "connected" he is to sources. He spent a good minute bragging about all the sources he has in different sports. This has obvious benefits since he makes his money as an oddsmaker.

The best part of the whole thing was when his lawyer called him an odds maker and Danny said no, an odds maker takes bet and i don't do that.. Then two sec later he says i would make odds on Auburn getting in any trouble less than 50% and I will take any 6 figure bet that I'm telling the truth.LOL What a joke this guy has become!

Or he really was told a name and he believes there is a 50-50 shot at a home run advertisement - the bagman coming forward. If the bagman comes forward, Sheridan becomes the Ali of insiders.

Except for the fact that he never named said bagman, so if one comes forward, how is Sheridan supposed to back up that this is the guy he was talking about. At this point, he has as much credibility as an ATPBer who claims to know the bagman (but let's not use that term Paul) exists.

IMO as an AU fan, Danny is telling the thruth as to what "he's been told". I think he thinks he knows the truth just like countless other reporters have claimed to know. Because someone is telling them this info. He gave away enough info about his "main source" that if the NCAA wanted to find out I'm sure they could narrow it down.
But let's not forget he's said from day 1 "this is the name of the bagman the NCAA "feels allegedly"..... How many times has something happened and you "think" said person is the one who did it? It's just a guess that Danny has turned into profit, airtim. And exposure.
With all the stuff coming out about college football around the country it just proves what we've all known for so long COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS DIRTY! not just auburn and btw, I don't think it's actually Auburn, lsu, Alabama, Ohio state, Miami, north Carolina paying players, it's the boosters and all theses superstar kids with their damn agents. I know for sure that a certain running back in 04 had plenty of incentive from tenn & AU. It's not the coaches or the university who are giving these kids "extra benefits.
It brings the question "is it really cheating if EVERYONE is doing it?" I don't think anything will happen to AU because it will never come out, Cam may or may not have even been paid by AU but I wouldn't doubt if ol Cecil took a bit of cash from state and ran to try to double up either. Who knows?
But all these bama fans acting as if they are the fulckin white knights of football are a joke! Your program was built on this and we all know it. Now every team that matters has gotten in on the action.
