People forget Mullen was 2-12 against ranked teams at state.

He would schedule 4 cupcakes and then beat Arkansas and Kentucky and maybe another down west team and people thought he was a genius.

1980 Gary can’t even recognize he recognizes how lucky Florida was for the uga QB situation. Or maybe he does and he is now angry about it

What does luck or Newman have to do with Kirby's defense giving up 38 pts. in the first half vs. Mullen?
Or Kirby's ability to coach his players to stop a wheel route?

Are you talking about those key uga injuries on D to go with those key O injuries? Of course you are because you recognize that lucky stuff.

Yes, as you point out, Luck had everything with Florida being able to outscore uga. In normal circumstances, it’s a 52-41 uga win, or something like that.

Of course we took advantage of it and we were fortunate. But it is not an excuse you should use for why you lost the game, even if it is true. It's poor form. You win or lose the game with the players who can play. Period.

Or we can talk about that great Georgia team with Flatfoot Frankie Sinkwich. I can come up with some excuses for that one, let me tell ya.

How about last year with our banged up DE's and backup QB?

Or even 1980. Safety Tim Groves was playing with turf toe. How lucky was Georgia in that one? Probably the luckiest one of all.

It really doesn't matter as the luck evens out over the years.

Kirby and Mullen can both suck. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

I so wish this were true, but evidence doesn’t support this.

This is what happens when you haven't won shite since 1980--

You are so comfortable with underachievement that you kid yourself into thinking you are in a position to throw stones from inside your glass house.
