31-0. Does anyone think the divisions are equal?

Doesn't exactly scream "guantlet".

I know it would be good for the game if Bama loses either this one or to Ole Miss. But count on 32-0.

A loss to the Gators would be a bigger upset, signal a new era for the SEC East ...

Why do they say things like this?

It's the same as saying Texas is back. Of course that assumes a Gators win which I don't think is happening.

Missouri winning the east twice tells me everything I need to know about that division

Trying to make the divisions equal during Saban's current ridiculous run would only lead to further inequities when he is gone. You would have to think that Bama will come back to earth and Tennessee will eventually hire someone who isn't an idiot to run that program. I am talking about the Prez, AD, and head coach. If you straighten out the 3rd Saturday in October, you straighten out everything.

Although I would be for moving Bama and Auburn over to the East and Mizzou, OU and TX to the West when they get here. I think that would make the East more difficult than the West, but I don't care about that. I like playing a better schedule.

I know the offenses have evolved over time, but nobody dominates the point of attack like boys from AL, MS, LA, and AR. And when you supplement that base with incredible skill players like Bama, LSU, and AU can do, then you just get separation from not only the East but the rest of the country as well.

Are you seriously a fan of a team that has 18 wins in the past 10 years?

It's been a few good games. UGA had 3 of those games won then Georgia happened. Tennessee had a chance in 2015. Florida competed last year. Other than that it's been a cake walk since USC beat Bama down in 2010.

You missed the point entirely.

That's not a stat you would ever see if a team operated in a "guantlet" environment, because of the level of difficulty of the aforementioned "guantlet". Winning 31 in a row against an entire division (half) of your conference, suggests there is no "guantlet". Get it now?

Oklahoma fans keep saying that. But when you lose to fricking Kansas State and Iowa State, learn to keep your trap shut.

You continue to use Alabama for your reasoning. This run under Saban isn’t human. And will end one day. Probably won’t ever be replicated. But that doesn’t take away from the week to week grind of the conference.

Or Alabama is such a peak program right now that they were able to run that gauntlet. Again, if its not a gauntlet why hasnt anyone else done it? LSU and Auburn should also be on similar streaks

People love narratives. Remember when Saban had a Sumlin/Malzhan problem?

The USC upset still feels like it was only 5 years ago for some reason.

MSU and Arkansas have won the West, does that make that division terrible?

Mullen's one of the most over-rated head coaches in the country. Period.

Alabama will roll.
