RIP Coach!!

He did a hell of a job!

I miss those Old School coaches like Brown, Wimp Sanderson (still enjoy him on radio) and Sonny Smith.

He was a week and a day away from 91.

I was thinking yesterday that such news wouldn't be far off. He lived a full life and lifted up so many others along the way. He never neglected to return a greeting and if you ever wrote to him you'd receive a response in your mailbox in short order. Just a very generous and caring individual.

The world is a bit sadder today without his presence in it.

Sad news. I was at LSU from 81 to 86, so this one stings. Him, Skip, and Stovall all passed this year.

He would drive around BR neighborhoods and if he saw a basketball goal in the driveway he'd give the owners a purple & gold net. Just a true visionary as a promoter and outside-the-box thinker.

Growing up my grandfather would always bemoan how Coach Brown wasted so many talented rosters. While he has a point I’d kill a hoe for 10 straight NCAAT appearances tournaments and 3 final 4’s again

RIP Coach Brown

Simply heartbreaking losing Skip Bertman, Jerry Stovall and Dale Brown in short order.

RIP, much respect. His interviews over the years on Finebaum were classic.

I remember him charging on to the court to save Shaq from big mean Carlos Groves. Lol.

I liked watching LSU back then, Chris Jackson, Shaq and Stanley Robert’s should have hung a banner. RIP Coach.
