Racist Ben Tillman's shameful legacy is now Clemson's
Clemson's history is Thomas Clemson never excluded women and minorities from attending Clemson in his will setting up the university.
That basically never happened back in the day, even at universities like Vanderbilt and Tulane that were founded and financed by people up north.
Tillman's legacy as it pertains to Clemson is Tillman had wanted a separate agriculture college in the state rather than having it as part of USC. This position had nothing to do with racism. He wanted a college modeled after other land grants like Michigan State.

That is what makes Clemson so great. We are All In. All the way. All the time. Dabo took it to a whole other level. Our social media presence is the best in the nation. There is a reason that you see the Tiger Paw flag at every College Gameday flying proud no matter where the game is. Our fans are second to none. Old and young and men and women. Everybody is pulling hard all the time to make us the best. If you think Dabo is going to leave Clemson you are crazy. It is his baby and it is a monster. There is a reason that he is giving his kids and the other coaches kids spots on the team. Clemson is Family. After Saban retires Clemson will stand alone at the top and then whose coattails are yall going to ride?

Now, I'll admit that Alabama as a football brand takes a gigantic shite from on high upon Clemson as a football brand. If it's being argued that Saban inherited a better brand, that's absolutely indisputable.

it's not disputable at this point that Clemson's 'brand' is as good as Alabama's is now. that's what 3 straight playoff trips does.
