Spurrier did quit Scar in bad shape, but he also built it up and gave y'all the best stretch you've ever had in your history.
The state of SC was producing some insane football talent at that time, and Spurrier was a coach and a personality that those guys wanted to play for.
It's delusional to act like Scar had been beating Clemson for a long time and then it stopped when Spurrier quit. He was the reason y'all had any success against Clemson, something y'all had never had before

Just noticed Lonnie replied before I did saying the same thing. And I invoked my bitch..I mean witch..powers and cast an evil reverse chicken curse when I made my prediction.
Probably means we end up winning 1 game because that's just how it works for us.

That's a bunch of crap!!
Beginning in 1982, UGA led the series 33-14-3. In the '80's, UGA was 4-3-1 against them.
Since then, UGA is 6-2 and have won 6 of the past 7 meetings, 3 of past 4 since 2000.
Yes, they have 2 nattys to our none, but they NEVER reached our level until the past 5 years and if they'd been in the SEC, I doubt seriously they would even have the 2 nattys they won!

Dang I wish I was a UGA fan so I could be proud of what I had accomplished the last 30 years.
I guess we just have to console ourselves with not one but two national championships in three years. ...man if only I was a UGA fan.
