Just looked at Indiana St's resume. 1-4 vs top 25, 2-9 vs top 50. Their best series win is RPI 77 Evansville. How on earth should they be hosting? They were barely over .500 in OOC.
Because they're a Nothern team. They're going to get the nod because the NCAA doesn't want "too many" Southern hosts.
It's what got us sent to Gary, Indiana a few years back.

A couple of weeks ago I definitely did not see Alabama hosting.

Tide fans (other than the core baseball people who always show up) should really come out and support those guys as much as possible.
They're playing very well, down the stretch despite adversity- and they deserve the support.

Based on those projections I'd rather Alabama be the 11 seed than the 10.

It’s an RPI pick mostly I would imagine. Indiana State is currently at 10 in the RPI. They went 24-3 in their league and if they win their tournament with that RPI, it would be hard to say they are undeserving.
Regarding Stanford, they won the PAC 12 by 5 games. And have a Top 15 RPI. That’s enough for a Top 8. And they have a ton of postseason experience so I wouldn’t write them off as a threat to go far in the tournament.

Wake Forest will be the top seed but I view Florida as the favorite to win the whole thing. I don’t trust Wake’s lack of big game experience.
